It was the 8th annual 40 lap Sprint car event and Kenny Gilmore again dominated this race winning all 8 segments on way to the win. Mark Williams scored 5 segment wins turning in 2nd place run. Sheldon Hiester had a good run scoring 2 segment wins for a 3rd place finish. Hiester’s Sweep Tuesday’s Twin 15′s

Racing action returned to the Tri-Oval at Randy’s Raceway for the 1st time this season and Shane Hiester ended a long string of top 5 runs with his 1st Cup win. Shane scored 3 segment wins on lanes 1 – 3 on way to the checked flag. Only 1 lap behind Sheldon Hiester turned in his best Cup finish of the year with a 2nd place effort, winning 3 segments. Bob Amore also turned in his best run of the year coming home with a steady 3rd place finish. Jim Levan, Randy Haydt Double Up on Wins

Cup action moved to the fast 8 laner, and Jim Levan scored his 2nd straight Cup win. Jim scored 4 segment wins on lanes 2-5 on way to the win. Only 20 pieces of track behind Randy Haydt won 5 segments for a runner up finish. Shane Hiester continued his nice string of top 5′s with a steady 3rd place effort. Levan, Haydt Score Tuesday Wins

Jim Levan scored his 1st Cup win of the year Tuesday night running on the Short-Track. Jim won 4 segments on way to the win. Shane Hiester turned in a solid run winning 2 segments on lanes 1 & 6 for a runner up finish. Just 2 pieces of track behind Billy Decker scored 2 segment wins turning in a good 3rd place finish. Cup racing moved to the Short track for race 2 of the season and Randy Haydt drove his Skoal Bandit #33 to a sweep for his 2nd win of the year. Mark Williams Claims Sprint Title

Randy Haydt Claims Cup Title

This year’s Cup season turned out to be a very competitive season. A total of 24 drivers tried their hand, and a good group of  8 Rookies turning laps. For the 2nd year it was a 9-race season with races run on all 3 tracks. Turning his 1st Cup championship Randy Haydt scored 4 wins and 7 top 5 finishes on way to a well-deserved title. Doing everything but win, Shane Hiester scored 7 top 5 finishes, including 5 finishes 2nd or 3rd, to turn in a solid 2nd place finish in the final standings. [Read more...]

John Kosmoski, Shane Hiester Tie for RMS Win

It was the season’s final point race of the year at RMS on Sunday and John Kosmoski and Shane Hiester tied for the win. Each turned in exact scores on all 4 lanes, winning 2 segments on lanes 1 & 2, both recording their 1st RMS win. Mike Fitzpatrick scored 1 segment win on way to a steady 3rd place run. Sheldon Hiester scored 1 segment win claiming a 4th place finish. Scott Bender scored 1 segment win on way to a 5th place finish.
