Race 3 of the Berks / Lebanon Modified Series was run on Saturday at Randy’s Raceway Kutztown, PA on the 8 lane fast track. Before  a sellout crowd and a Series record 22 racers jamming the pit area the Small Block Modifieds rolled out 1st and Randy Haydt running that new Chucky body scored 2 segment wins on way to a convincing win. It was his 2nd Small Block win of the year. Randy’s win was only 24 pieces of track ahead of Mark Williams who started off strong winning 5 segments on lanes 1-5, collected his best Small Block run of the year finishing 2nd. Woodland winner Sam Heller scored 2 segment wins to hold on to a close 3rd place finish.

Sam Heller, Timothy Bowers Jr. Berks / Lebanon Winners at Woodland

The Berks / Lebanon Modified Racing Series ran it’s 2nd race of the season on Saturday at Woodland Raceway in Boyertown, Pa. A strong field of 19 Small Block Modifieds were called out 1st. Following his Opening Day Runner Up finish Sam Heller Sr. turned in a dominating “sweep” on way to his 1st Series win. Opening Day winner Randy Haydt nearly made it 2 in a row, scoring 4 segment wins, and trailing Sam by only 3 pieces of track at the finish for a close 2nd place run. Randy Haydt, Brian Sponagle Win Berk’s / Lebanon Series Opener

The Berk’s / Lebanon Modified Racing Series kicked off it’s season on Saturday at Randy’s Raceway on the always challenging Tri-Oval. The Small Block Modified were called out 1st, Last Year’s Small Block Champion Randy Haydt won the title without a win, in the Small Block Opener this year Randy ended that string turning in a strong run. Randy won 3 segments on the middle lanes on way to a close win. Less than a lap behind veteran Sam Heller Sr. who has been off the Tri-Oval for a while, scored 3 segment wins. He had only 2 fall offs and turned in a very good 2nd place finish. Jim LeVan scored 4 segment wins on the middle lanes to come home with a steady 3rd place finish. [Read more…]

Jim LeVan, Randy Haydt Berk’s / Lebanon Series Champions

The Berk’s / Lebanon Modified Racing Series recently concluded it’s first season of racing, the 3 race season with a 2 division Series provided a lot of fun and some close action. Both the championships were decided by a total of 8 points. In the Big Block Series opener at ‘Little T’s ” speedway ti was Jim LeVan starting his championship run with a sweep to score the opening day win. Jim followed that win up with a 2nd place finish in race 2 at Randy’s Raceway. In race 3 at Woodland Raceway Jim closed out the Series with a 9th place finish just enough to win the Series by 2 points. Tim “Little T” Bowers opened the Series with a 4th place finish, than in the middle race of the Series Tim scored a 7th place finish. In the Series closer Tim turned in a convincing sweep on way to the win at Woodland Raceway just missing out on the title by 2 points, but a solid 2nd place finish in the final standing. Tim “Little T” Bowers Sweeps Berks–Lebanon Series Race

The Berks-Lebanon Modified Racing Series ran it’s 3rd and final race of the season at Woodland Raceway on Saturday and Tim “Little T” Bowers turned in a dominating sweep in the Series finale. A good field of 17 racers were signed in the pits and in the Big Block opener Tim “Little T” Bowers turned in a sweep along with only 1 fall off on way to his 1st Big Block victory. Only 22 pieces of track behind, Brian Sponagle drew the #1 pill then went on to score 5 segment wins on way to a strong Runner up finish (who invited him?). Toby Reinhard scored 2 segment wins his 2nd top 3 finish in the Series to cross the line in 3rd. Only 6 pieces of track behind, Scott Bender scored 1 segment win for his 2nd straight 4th place finish. [Read more…]

It was race 2 of the Berk’s Lebanon Modified Racing Series at Randy’s Raceway and Mark Williams and Jim LeVan scored wins on the 8 lane fast track. In front of a sell out crowd and a good field of 20 racers the Big Block Modifieds opened the day and Mark Williams collected 6 segment wins on way to his 1st Series win. Marks win was about 1 lap ahead of Opening day Series winner Jim LeVan who scored 3 segment wins turning in a good runner up finish. Only 19 pieces of track behind, Cory Reinhard scored 5 segment wins on lanes 2 – 6 and scored a strong 3rd place finish. Scott Bender turned in steady runs

The Berks Lebanon Modified Racing Series made it’s season debut on Saturday at Little T’s Speedway in Myerstown PA on the fast 6 lane Max-Trax. The Big Block Modifieds were first up and Jim LeVan making his 1st start at”Little T’s” turned in a sweep on way to a convincing win in the Series opener. Cory Reinhard scored 4 segments wins on way to a strong 2nd place finish. Only 13 pieces of track behind Toby Reinhard scored 2 segment wins, to come home with a very good 3rd place finish. Tim “Little T” Bowers scored 2 segment wins to finish 4th. Mark Williams ( who ran 2 cars in the same lane for a couple of laps )  still turned in a good 5th place run.
