2nd Annual Bruce Heller Memorial Crash & Burn Tie Breaker to Sheldon Hiester

17 racers and a few more spectators showed up at Rich and Michele’s RMS Motorsports high speed oval for the 2nd Annual Bruce Heller Memorial being hosted by Rich and Michelle. $400 was raised by auctioning off parts and bodies donated by Bob Amore, Rich Schmidt and Mr. Bill from Northern California. Tires were donated as door prizes by the Hiester family as they have recently opened their family owned and operated silicone tire molding business. [Read more...]
Jim Levan Wins Third

Veteran Jim Levan won his third Modified Feature of the season at Randy’s Raceway, becoming the 3rd three-time winner this year. In a stacked field of 16 racers Levan won all six segments on the Short Track race and only had 4 falloffs all night. Current point leader Mark Williams was runner-up winning 5 segments after coming back on lane 1 after just missing a win on the first race of the night out in lane 6. [Read more...]
John Kosmoski, Shane Hiester Tie for RMS Win

It was the season’s final point race of the year at RMS on Sunday and John Kosmoski and Shane Hiester tied for the win. Each turned in exact scores on all 4 lanes, winning 2 segments on lanes 1 & 2, both recording their 1st RMS win. Mike Fitzpatrick scored 1 segment win on way to a steady 3rd place run. Sheldon Hiester scored 1 segment win claiming a 4th place finish. Scott Bender scored 1 segment win on way to a 5th place finish.

Congrats to Rich Schmidt this years point champion. And thanks for the pizza that was supplied for everyone. Next year look for a new T-Jet division to be started that will be run after the Storm race. Check back for the year in review, and summer test dates.

Heller Wins Modified Title at RMS

Going into the 1st season of racing on the new oval at RMS it was anybody’s guess on who would find the best setup on the new track. Sam Heller scored some pre-season summer wins and continued to turn in dominant runs during the winter season on his way to the title. Sam tallied 6 wins and finished in the top 5 all season, as he had to hold off track owner Rich Schmidt by only 10 points. [Read more...]
