Williams Wins Mod Main

Mark Williams won the final Modified feature on the Tri-Oval in it’s current location.  I a real close finish Williams won his 8th main event in a row over Bryan Kisthart.  Williams won 3 segments and won by only 3 pieces of track over the Road Race specialist Kisthart, who won 4 segments.  Bryan has been so close this season to winning one and this one was about as close as he could get without winning the race.  Third spot went to Sheldon Hiester who had strong runs all night winning 4 segments as well.  Fourth was brother Shane winner of 2 segments and coming back strong after having some pickup shoe damage in an early segment.  Rounding out the top five was Scott Bender who won 1 segment and recorded only 6 falloffs.  The rest of the top ten, Toby Reinhard, Jim Levan, Corey Bailey, Brian Sponagle and Billy Decker.
Notes-
A nice field of 18 racers on hand for the run on the Tri-Oval.  Good to see Toby Reinhard continue his strong run as the season winds down.  Toby picked up 2 more segment wins and a good sixth place in the main.  Brian Sponagle also had a nice run with a top ten finish.  We welcome Chris to our racing and he seems to pick this stuff up quickly, he had a good run on lane 3 in his first attempt on the tricky oval.  Randy had the track in great shape this week, clean and fast.
Tri-Oval Scheduled to be Relocated
The original Randy’s Raceway that many racers either love or hate is scheduled to be moved from it’s upstairs location to the basement.  The track will be unassembled and moved after the final Sportsman event this week.  It will then get a slight makeover and slide into the space vacated by Monks track.  This will have all three tracks in the same space and make options for shows in the future.  Randy will reach out for some help from the group to carry it around and bring it in the back door.  More on that to come.
