Williams Wins Modified Main

Mark Williams won the feature on the eight lane oval this week taking 7 of 8 segments on his way to win number 8 on the season.  Williams drove his Kenny Gilmore prepared car to the win.  14 racers were in attendance on the night although a few regulars were missing in action.  Second spot went to Shane Hiester who won lanes 1-3 on the night.  Sheldon Hiester wound up a close third with 2 segment wins and less than a lap behind his brother.  Fourth went to Reading’s Scott Bender who had two segment wins and one of his strongest runs of this season.  Rounding out the top five with a collective sigh of relief was Bill Brenner.  Bill only had 3 falloffs and scored his best finish of what has been a tough season.

Notes-
Eric Beard racing had three top ten cars on the night.  In addition to Bill’s fifth, Eric was 9th and Chris Brubaker was tenth.  Brubaker currently leads all Modified rookies for the rookie of the year honors with 2 races left.  Bryan Kisthart struggled on the lower lanes but still wound up with a solid 6th.   Randy handled some of the flagging duties and did a good job.  Thanks to Jim Levan for also filling in.
