The starting 8 Modifieds

Mark Williams won his third Modified main in a row and fourth of the season this week after taking 6 segment wins in the Holiday special 25 lappers.  Williams ran the GTB car to wins on lanes 2 through 7 in another spirited battle with up and coming Cory Reinhard.  Cory finished second for the second straight Modified event in his fast Modified wrenched by Dad Toby.  The younger Reinhard was very consistent with only 9 falloffs in his score of 196.34 including 4 segment wins.  It only looks like a matter of time until Cory breaks into the winners circle.

Third spot went to Bryan Kisthardt.  BK won 5 segments in a row from lanes 2 through 6.  A strong fourth place run for veteran Jim LeVan with a score of 193.5 and a lone segment win on lane Blue.  Rounding out the top five was Brian Sponagle who continues his hot streak at the Berks Raceplace.  Spoons won lane White and was strong in his number 1 Modified all night.

Special thanks to Scott Bender for supplying the photos of two modified and one sprinter for the event.  Also congrats to Tony Zapacosta who won the Richard Petty raffle sponsored by Brian Sponagle.  We also like to acknowledge the flaggers on the night, Adam, Billy, Jim, Scott, Brian S and Mark.  No boundary issues since the tape went up.  A great field of racers 18 on hand this week.  Next show is Sprints on the 8 lane oval.  Watch out for current Sprint points leader Scott Bender as he takes to the track to try and hold onto that lead. All the racers would like to thank Mark and Jody for the Christmas festivities.
