Amore, Master of the Bull Rings, Dominates Randy’s 10th Anniversary Race

Tuesday April 19th Randy’s Raceway held an IROC style race on the original track of his club, the tricky tri-oval. Although it was a bit disappointing that several of Randy’s most successful racers over the years couldn’t come out to honor Randy for his dedication to providing H.O. racing for many racers from Pa. and even NJ, 13 racers did show up to race with and “roast” Randy as well as share some cake with him. Bob Amore showed all in attendance why he is arguably “King of the Bull Rings” by winning all but 1 segment with the NASCAR bodied Lifelikes prepared by absentee racer Scott Bender. Bob also showed that he was on a roll as he won the 50/50 drawing as well. 15 lap segments were on the card and Bob ran an impressive 89-27 to out distance runner up Shane Hiester by over a lap. 3rd was the honored host Randy Jay with the rest of the top 5 being Sam Heller 4th and Sheldon Hiester 5th. 6th through 10th were Billy Decker, Jim Levan, Toby Reinhart, Brian Van Buskirk and young Corey Reinhart who started off his night with an impressive run on lane 6 that had the veterans talking. A fun time was had by all and the “cake break” half way through the event gave everybody a chance to socialize with each other. Thanks again to Randy for being such a great advocate of the sport we all love. We already started talking about the 20th Anniversary race.
