Gilmore Gets Back in Victory Lane

Brett Gilmore returned to victory lane at Randy’s Raceway in the Modified feature on Tuesday night.  Gilmore scored a perfect 8 segment wins with only 5 falloffs to record the win.  Driving his modified wrenched by his Dad with a Bob Amore replica body of Brett’s Dirt Modified he picked up a strong win.  Mark Williams last weeks winner was second winning 6 segments in the #14.  Williams had 6 falloffs.  Third spot went to New Smithvilles Bob Amore who won 2 segments recording his best finish on the 8 lane oval in some time in the Modified division.  Fourth was Shane Hiester winning 2 segments.  Hiester overcame some handling problems (18 falloffs) to get a hard earned finish the night before his birthday.  Brother Sheldon Hiester was fifth with a steady run.

Modified Hot Laps

Good to have Alex Amore racing with us.  Next time he shows up we will be sure to paint his bumper with the rookie yellow paint.  17 racers in attendance this week and the crowds have been increasing.  Cory Reinhard the racing 6th grader had a tough lane one but still held his falloff total to 5 in over 141 laps.
