The number 13 wasn’t bad luck to Jeff Gordon as the Cup stars returned to racing on the 8 lane Super Speedway at Randy’s Raceway. Stats and Stuff

Congrats to Cory Reinhardt as he claimed his 1st Cup segment win, along with 9th place finishes in both Cup and Sprint. Good to see new comer Brian Sponagle in both fields, and looking pretty good scoring a 10th place finish in Sprints. Randy Haydt credits his 4th place finish in Sprints to his new wing ??. Close action in both Cup and Sprints. Cup had a tie for 2nd, and top 4 separated by 1 lap and 7 pieces of track. Sprints had the top 3 separated by only 26 pieces of track and the next 3 were separated by only 24. Finally with the season winding down reports going around say Mark Williams will not run his beautiful purple Cup body this year.

NEXT WEEK Modified return to the 8 lane.
