Jim Levan Wins Third

Veteran Jim Levan won his third Modified Feature of the season at Randy’s Raceway, becoming the 3rd three-time winner this year.  In a stacked field of 16 racers Levan won all six segments on the Short Track race and only had 4 falloffs all night.  Current point leader Mark Williams was runner-up winning 5 segments after coming back on lane 1 after just missing a win on the first race of the night out in lane 6.  Third spot went to ageless veteran and fairly new Randy’s Raceway competitor Mike Feltenberger.  Bear scored 1 segment win in his best showing at the Berks County Speedway.  Fourth spot went to Shane Hiester winner of 4 segments and he held onto the runner up spot in points.  Rounding out the top five was Nazareth’s Billy Decker.

More Stuff
16 racers on hand for the Modified show this week, good turnout.  Dale Stengle dropped by and delivered some trophies for our racing divisions this season.  Thanks Dale.  And some guys know this and some don’t but each week our tracks are cleaned and in fine shape for us to run on.  Thanks for that go to Bill Decker.  We also know that Monk has flagged here for many years but this week he also stepped in and handled the 50/50.  Seems as if Scott Bender was busy looking at the duct tapelines on the floor again.  The team from Lancaster County of Bill Brenner and Eric Beard had a tough night but watch for Bill to run the fast #18 when we get back to the 8 lane in two weeks.  The 40 laps Sprint Race comes to town this week and we expect some invaders to try and wrestle away the win from Kenny Gilmore who has won this race every year since it’s inception.
