Cup racing returned to Randy’s Raceway for race 5 of the season on the 8 lane fast track and Kenny Gilmore made his 1st appearance in over a year racing to a win. Kenny scored 6 segment wins on way to the win. Coming off his win on the Road Course Bryan Kisthart turned in a strong effort scoring 5 segment wins to come home with a runner up finish. Cup point leader Shane Hiester turned in a consistent run of 19’s on all 8 lanes to finish 3rd. Sheldon Hiester scored a segment win on lane 1 keeping his string of Top 5’s alive with a 4th place finish. Randy Haydt scored 1 segment win to close out the Top5, it was his 2nd straight 5th place finish.

RANDY HAYDT SCORES IROC WIN
It was race 3 of the 4 race IROC Season, running AFX Magna-Traction cars, going 8 laps. After drawing the #1 pill Randy Haydt ran off with his 1st IROC win of the year. Randy scored 2 segment wins on lanes 1&2 on way to a narrow win. Only 9 pieces of track off the pace IROC point leader Shane Hiester scored 2 segment wins to come home 2nd. Only 18 pieces of track behind, Sheldon Hiester also scored 2 segment wins to finish 3rd. Brian Sponagle turned in a solid 4th place finish scoring 1 segment win ( Could have been better if someone wasn’t in his way all the time? ).. Only 6 pieces of track behind, Mark Williams started off with 2 segment wins on lanes 1&2 to hold on to finish 5th.

PIT STOPS:
Good night for Brian Sponagle as he grabbed a 9th place Cup finish, and a 4th in IROC. Billy Decker scored a 10th place Cup finish with only 2 fall off’s, Cory Reinhard had only 1 fall off. Kenny’s Cup win made it 5 in as many races. Thanks to Mark for working on the IROC cars that worked well.
