Tony Zapacosta Scores First Career IROC Win

It was race 3 of the IROC season running Aurora T-Jets, the 5 lap event turned out to be 1 of the closest  IROC events ever run. The entire field was separated by 1 lap and 1 piece of track. Tony Zapacosta needed a win in his final segment on lane 7 and he scored that win, which was just enough to claim his 1st career win at Randy’s Raceway. Tony’s slim win was by only 5 pieces of track ahead of new comer this year Ed Kenderdine who was making his 1st IROC start. Ed scored a segment win on lane 4 turning in a very good 2nd place finish. Only 2 pieces of track behind Jim LeVan scored 1 segment win his 3rd Top 5 IROC finish this year finishing 3rd. Trailing Jim by 1 piece of track Cory Reinhard scored his best IROC finish this year coming home 4th. Scott Bender had a steady run to finish 5th.

6th Brian Sponagle ( 2 wins ) / 7th Randy Haydt ( 2 wins ) / 8th Toby Reinhard / 9th Brian Van buskirk ( 1 win ) / 10th Tie Savvy ( 2 wins ) / Billy Decker ( 1 win ).
