Randy Haydt Wins IROC Title by One Point

IROC racing returned to Randy’s Raceway, this division has always been very close and competitive, this year was no different. Going into the season final race Mark Williams held the point lead, but Randy scored a win in the final race of the season. Mark scored a 6th place finish, which turned out to be a 1 point difference giving  Randy the IROC point title. Randy scored a total of 3 wins, to go along with 3 other Top5 finishes. It was Randy’s 2nd career IROC Title. Mark Williams had a strong IROC season scoring 3 wins, and 4 Top 5 runs on way to his 2nd place finish. Mark also scored the most segment wins with 15. Brian Sponagle also had a very good IROC campaign collecting 5 Top5 finishes, and his 1st career IROC win in January on the tough Tri-Oval. Brian also collected 11 segment wins to come home 3rd in the final standing. Toby Reinhard scored his 1st career IROC win, in the IROC opener than put together 4, 5th place finishes to finish 4th in the final standing. Scott Bender scored 1 Top5 finish, and 3 segment wins to hold on to a 5th place finish in the standing by 1 point.
6th Billy Decker ( 4 wins ) / 7th Cory Reinhard ( 4 wins ) / 8th Bryan Kisthardt ( 12 wins ) / 9th Jim Levan ( 7 wins ) / 10th Brian Vanbuskirk ( 2 wins )

Randy Haydt 3, Mark Williams 3 Toby Reinhard, Mike Fitzgerald, and Brian Sponagle all with 1 win.

A competitive season as Top 10 in points won at least 2 segments. With a total of 16 different people winning segments. Good having Jody Williams with us in the IROC field just missing out of a Top 10 in points. IROC racing made it’s debut on the Road Course running Life Likes and Randy Haydt getting the initial win. Mike Fitzgerald made 1 IROC start in November and turned that into a win. Thanks to everyone for all their hard work on the 7 groups of cars.
