Randy’s Raceway held it’s season ending rules meeting Tuesday night April 17th discussing several topics, the group included Bob Amore, Corey Bailey, Jim Levan, Scott Bender, Brian Kisthardt and Mark & Jodi Williams. To cut down on the lateness of the “Double Shows” the 6 race Sprint Car and IROC Divisions have been eliminated. With these open weeks the Sportsmen and NASCAR season will now become a 9 race season cutting down on the amount of running double shows. The 40 Lap Sprint car race will remain on the schedule.
Modifieds
At the banquet all drivers had a chance to vote on how many races they would like to run on each track. By 1 vote, this year the modified division will run 5 races on each track of the 3 tracks. Races on the Tri-Oval and Short Track will increase to 25 laps. Modified body rules will stay the same. With the Modified racing equally divided the open practices during the summer all 3 tracks will be available.
Holiday Fun
With Christmas falling on a Tuesday the racing will be moved to Thursday night December 27th. This will be a 25 lap Sportsmen race on the 8 lane and Scott Bender photo night. New Years is also a Tuesday and there will no racing that week. Modified racing will return in the new year on January 8, 2013 on the 8-Lane.
