SHELDON HIESTER TAKES 2

Cup racing returned to the Short Track Tuesday night and in another close night of racing Sheldon Hiester turned in 5 segment wins on way to his 1st Cup win of the season. Turning in a solid Runner up finish Jim Levan scored 4 segment wins on lanes 1 – 4, and just missed out of the win by 8 pieces of track. Shane Hiester scored 2 segment wins, continues his string of top 5’s, to come home 3rd. Billy Decker scored 1 segment win, for a good 4th place finish. Randy Haydt turned in a steady run to come home 5th.

CUP CUTS

List of 1st time winners continues as Cory Reinhard scored 1 win and a top 10 run, and Tony Zappacosta scored his 1st Cup win. Close racing in mid pack as 7th  – 10th were separated by 1lap

SHELDON HIESTER WINS SPRINT”TUNE UP”

The super fast sprint cars made their debut in a 15 lap “tune up” before the 40-lap Sprint car race in 2 weeks. A good field of 15 were entered and Sheldon Hiester capped off the night with the win and a sweep of the Twin 15’s.Sheldon scored 4 segment wins on way to a 1 lap win over Jim Levan who scored 1 win to finish 2nd. Only 20 pieces of track behind Mike Fitzgerald looked real strong scoring 2 segment wins for a 3rd place run. Shane Hiester recovered from a slow start on lane 3, won 3 segments for a 4th place finish. Toby Reinhard turned in a solid run winning 2 segments for a good 5th place finish.

Good to see new faces turning in good runs Mike Fitzgerald 3rd, Toby Renhard 5th, and Corey Bailey 6th. Randy will have sandwich sale papers going around soon with profits used for season ending banquet. Still time to help out with sponsoring Sprint car race anything will be appreciated.
