Sheldon Hiester Wins Career First Modified Race at Randy’s Raceway

Sheldon Hiester used consistency to record his first career Modified Feature at Randy’s Raceway.  Although he won just 1 segment he was on the lead lap every race except 1 and never had more than 2 falloffs in any segment.  The win was very well deserved and a popular win for the second-generation veteran slot car racer.  Second spot went to 2-time season winner Brett Gilmore.  The defending points champ and current points leader won 5 segments and garnered second despite bubbling out in lane 2.  Third spot went to Shane Hiester who won 2 segments and also was on the lead lap every race but 1.  Fourth went to opening day winner Mark Williams who had 5 segment wins.  Rounding out the top five was Nazareth resident Billy Decker.  Decker won 2 segments and had a real strong car all night long.  The rest of the top 10 were, Jim Levan, Bill Brenner, Toby Reinhard, Eric Beard and Bob Amore.

RACE NOTES

Good to have Bill Brenner back racing with us this week.  He also picked up right where he left off last season and turned in a nice 7th place run in the main event.  There were no pit stall infractions all night and the 50/50 drawing was handled perfectly.  Not to mention that the printer worked flawlessly.  Scott missing the show must have had something to do with all the good happenings.  The track would like to make all racers aware that the lap counters are delicate pieces of equipment and please do not touch.
