Williams Sweeps Twin Mod Show

Mark Williams won the final two features on the Short Track at Randy’s Raceway.  Williams who had never won on the 6-lane oval in 10 years of trying took the first race in a close one over veteran Mike Bear Feltenberger who was looking for his first career win at the Berks ovals.  In the second race Williams had a safer margin over Points leader Sheldon Hiester.  Williams ran the smooth Sheldon Hiester car to the two feature wins.
In the first of two 15 lap shows Williams one 3 segments followed by Feltenberger (1 seg), Corey Bailey who has purchased the track (3 seg), Bill Brenner (3 seg) and Shane Hiester (2 seg).
The second show saw a repeat with Williams (4 seg) earning the win his 26th career Modified feature.  Second went to his cr owner Sheldon Hiester (1 seg) followed by Eric Beard (2 seg), Mike Feltenberger (3 seg) and Corey Bailey (5 seg).

Scott Bender had a good night coming home with a sixth and eighth place finishes.  18 racers on hand , Bean picked up his first modified segment win beating the eventual feature winner while he was at it.  Bob Amore was back in action but had a tough night just missing some top 10’s.  I got to run the tub track and oval on Sunday at the T-Jet race, it was a lot of fun.  Thanks to Bryan Kisthart for supplying some great cars to compete with.
