Williams Wins Mod Main Event

WILLIAMS WINS MOD MAIN EVENT
Mark Williams won his 6th Modified main event this season and increased his lead in the season point standings.  Williams won 5 segments after starting slowly on lanes 7 and 8.  Driving a strong run was the seasons first winner Shane Hiester who won 1 segment.  Williams and both Shane and Sheldon Hiester all raced right beside each other and had some good battles.  Third spot went to veteran Jim Levan who turned in his strongest run this season.  Levan won 3 segments in his fast Modified.  Fourth went to Toby Reinhard who also had one of his best ever finishes.  Reinhard ran his lucky number 13 to 1 segment win and was fast all night long.  Rounding out the top five was veteran Sheldon Hiester who did not win a segment but had a steady night.  The rest of the top ten were, Byran Kisthart, Eric Beard, Corey Bailey, Bill Brenner and Billy Decker.

Newsworthy
Congrats to both Toby and Jim on getting real strong finishes this week.  And also a nice run to Eric Beard who won 6 segments but had trouble on lane 3 and he still manged a seventh place finish.  I plan on having a story this season about Bill Brenner who is celebrating his 50th year racing slot cars.  Rumor has it Scott is retiring from Modifieds. AGAIN!  Thanks go out to Randy who has hosted us each week.  The NASCAR event needed to be canceled due to weather, but will be rescheduled on a later date.
