Williams Wins Mod on Tri-Oval

WILLIAMS WINS MOD MAIN ON TRI-OVALMark Williams won his third feature in a row this time using the tricky Tri-Oval in the weeks highlighted Modified division.  A good field of 14 racers was on hand.  Williams won 5 segments on the evening and was followed by Brian Sponagle with his best Modified run of the season.  Spoons won 2 segments including an impressive win on lane one, bringing his season total of segment wins to 18.  This was the only lane one win on the evening which is proving to be a tough lane to win on this season.  Third spot went Jim LeVan who won 5 segments in a row after faltering a bit on lane one.  The segment wins brought the Reading Racers season total to 27 which is second most this year.  Fourth spot went to Randy Haydt, the racing promoter had consistant scores including a 19.15 on lane one.  Rounding out the top five was third place point man Cory Reinhard.  The Boyertown High Senior had a segment win on lane 3 but struggled with handling coming off more than usual for him.

Robert Loundan made his 5th Modified start of the season in his yellow racer.  Laudan Seigfried won a segment on lane two bringing the leading Rookie’s total to 13.  Laudan just missed a top five finish with a rough lane one race.  The race was completed in good time and well before the NorEaster hit.  Sprint Cars return next week to the 8 lane.

Good luck to all the racers this weekend for the annual St Pattys day race for the ECHORR club at Randy’s Raceway.
