Williams Wins Sprint Opener for 2016 / 2017 Season

Veteran Mark Williams used a lone segment win and consistent runs on all other lanes to win the season Sprint car 25 lap opener.  The win was his 15th career in the Sprint division.  Second spot was Bryan Kisthardt who won 3 segments and was only 12 pieces of track behind.  Finishing third was Randy Haydt who also won 3 segments,  Fourth spot went to Billy Decker winner of a single segment on lane 4.  Rounding out the top five was Jim LeVan.  The veteran LeVan won 4 segments when getting on a roll and winning lanes 4 through 7.  The win on lane 6 was his 100th career Sprint segment win.  The rest of the finish went like this – Toby Reinhard, Adam Zappacosta, Cory Reinhard, Ed Kenderdine, Brian Vanbuskirk, Tony Zappacosta and Savvy.

Sprint Scoreboard-

Defending Sprint Champion Scott Bender was not feeling well and had to miss the opener, he will be back next week for the Modified show on the 8 lane.  Randy Haydt our racing promoter had a strong car and a good third place finish.  Good to have Ed Kenderdine racing with us and he has some past racing experience.  Team Reinhard had good runs in 6th, 8th and 12th.  There seemed to be a few boundary problems this week and the track is looking into invisible fence as a possible solution.
