The cup division at Randy’s Raceway has always been a very close and competitive class, but the way this season unfolded nobody would have predicted. Heading into the season’s final race 3 drivers had a shot to claim the title, Jim Levan, Shane and Sheldon Hiester were separated by only 6 points. The season final race came on the 8 lane fast track and Shane Hiester scored the race win by less than 1 lap over brother Sheldon, to finish in a tie for the NASCAR point championship, this a 1st in 12 years of racing at Randy’s Raceway.
