Doubleheader racing action was on tap on Saturday at Tim “ Little T’s ” Bowers Raceway and with a season high of 17 racers filling the pit area Randy Haydt turned in a sweep on way to the win in the Modified opener. Randy’s close win was only 5 pieces of track ahead of Mark Williams who scored 5 segment wins for a good 2nd place finish. Bill Rowley scored a steady 3rd place finish, scoring 2 segment wins. The 2016-17 season opened on Saturday at Tim “Little T” Bowers Raceway in Myerstown PA and in the Modified Opener Randy Haydt scored 4 segment wins ( more on that later ) on way to the win. Randy’s win was by only 4 pieces of track over Jim LeVan who scored 5 segment wins including no come offs for a Runner up finish.
