Sprint cup action moved to the Tri-Oval for the 1st time this year


and Bob Amore turned in a perfect night winning all 6 segments on way to his 1st cup win of the year. Bob became the 3rd different winner in this division. Mark Williams’s recorded 2 segment wins on way to a 2nd place finish, his 3rd top 5 finish in this class. Recent winner Jim Levan scored 1 segment win finishing 3rd. Scott Bender scored 2 segment wins on way to his 2nd straight 4th place finish. Only 11 pieces of track behind Sheldon Hiester scored 3 segment wins to collect his 1st top 5 finish this year in cup action. 6th Randy Haydt (1win) / 7th Shane Hiester / 8th Mike Wentzel / 9th Toby Reinhard / 10th Dale Stengle.
 

Gilmore Takes Sprints

The sprint cars returned to the 8 lane oval and Kenny Gilmore turned in a perfect run winning all 6 segments capturing his 2nd win of the year. Jim Levan turned in his 2nd straight runner up finish, winning 2 segments. Only 10 pieces of track behind Mark Williams turned in a steady 3rd place finish winning 2 segments. Looking for his 2nd straight win Shane Hiester won 4 segments, finishing 4th, only 3 pieces of track behind Mark. Randy Haydt won 1 segment to finish 5th.
6th Sheldon Hiester / 7th Scott Bender (1win) TIE FOR 8TH Mike Wentzel & Bob Amore /  10th Steven Kersher.

FINAL LAPS:

Good to see cup and sprint fields with 15 racers. New comer Branden Colon got his 1st taste of the tri-oval, looked good in sprint debut settling for an 11th place finish. Close action in cup as 3rd to 6th place finishers were 1 lap apart. Sprint action saw 13 pieces of track from 2nd to 4th. Making his 1st start in both divisions Mike Wentzel notched 2 8th place finishes. Mark where is my sweatshirt? Rumors were you moved it ?.
