BRETT GILMORE TAKES THIRD MOD MAIN

by Mark Williams

Brett Gilmore continued his early season
dominance taking his third modified
main event of the 08/09 season on
tuesday night at Randy’s Raceway.

Gilmore won 7 segments en route to the
victory.  The battle was really for second
with veteran Jim Levan grabbing
his best finish of the season so far, he was
a 5 segment winner.  Third spot
went to Billy Decker who kept his strong
season going in his #11 modified.
Decker won 3 segments.  Fourth was the
consistant racer from the north side
of Phoenixville Slammin Sam Heller.
Rounding out the first five was New
Smithvilles Bob Amore who grabbed his
best finish of the
season.

Modified Minutes
Somebody said Randy would not race this week
because he wanted a senior
citizen discount.  Scott Bender was wondering if
anybody knew a good
photographer so we could get some action shots on the
website.  Watch soon
for pictures from Charley and Kenny Gilmores modified
careers on our site.
(Coming Soon)  It was good to see John Kosmoski racing
with us this week and
he had some good runs in lanes 1-3.  Also racing with
Guy Intelisano brings
back some memories from the 70’s in the old PSCA
series and racin at Tom
Hiester’s Hollenbach street track.  Guy seemed to
get around pretty good for
his first time at the Berks Speedway.
