Brett Gilmore once again won the Modified feature at Randy’s Raceway. This time he had to out duel his Dad Kenny Gilmore who made a rare start in the Modified division. Brett won 5 segments including a tough race on lane one when he had to make up a big gap. Kenny Gilmore in his fast Green machine won 5 segments as well. Third spot went to Readings Scott Bender who won 2 segments and turned in his best performance in quite some time. Bender drove his beautiful Bailey replica racer. Shane Hiester wound up fourth winning 3 segments on the evening. Rounding out the top five was Bill Brenner driving his Eric Beard wrenched dirt car. Brenner won 1 segment. The rest of the top ten were as follows, Eric Beard, Sheldon Hiester, Jim Levan, Mark Williams and Alex Amore.
We pass on our sympathies to the Heller family on Bruce’s passing. Bruce really enjoyed racing here and I especially liked to see him interact with his niece and nephew the year that they raced with us.

Bob Amore had a tough night thrashing with his ill handling car. Cory is really finding his way around wrenching the cars, good job Toby on teaching him that important part of racing. Wow whatever Scott had for supper we should all try. 19 racers on hand this week for a very competitive evening. Don’t forget to stop by on Main Street in Kutztown this Sunday 12 noon – 4 pm.
