Brett Gilmore Wins Second in a Row

By Mark Williams

Brett Gilmore the reining Modified points champion won for the second straight week

matching Jim Levan’s quick start this season. Gilmore won 7 times driving his white number 7, just missing a perfect score by a few pieces of track.   Second spot belonged to Bernville’s Troy Bowers in a Kenny Gilmore machine.   Troy took his best career finish after coming in cold with no warm-up.  He also won 7 segments.  Third spot was Bill Brenner who made a surprise start and drove the Eric Beard #55 too 2 segment wins and a strong finish.  Fourth was Mark Williams winner of 1 segment and Shane Hiester rounded out the top five.

16 racers were on hand including first appearances by Bill Brenner, Eric Beard and Brian VanBuskirk.  Steven Kirshner had a strong night and came home 10th.  Missing in action was Guy Intelisano and John Kosmoski.  This week the Sportsman and I R O C divisions return.  Thanks to Crystal for helping Randy with the Hoagie sale. Boy does he need the help. Speaking to Sam Heller recently he is still looking for his first win on the road courses this year and wishes us all well.

On a sad note we pass on Christian Sympathies to the family of Eric Wenrich who raced with us for many years. We will miss racing with Eric.
