Mark Williams won the NASCAR Cup feature on the Tri-Oval for his second win in a row at Randy’s Raceway in this division. Williams drove his Orange car to 5 segment wins and narrowly missed winning on lane 1. Veteran racer out of Reading Jim LeVan was a strong second winning 3 segments on lanes 2-4. Third spot went to Randy Haydt who won 4 segments and continues his strong season in the Sprint Cup class. Fourth was Brian Sponagle who had 1 segment win in his Penn State racer. Rounding out the top five was second generation racer from Boyertown Cory Reinhard. A nice field of 15 racers where present for the show which was the prelude to the night cap IROC AFX race. Six lanes without the assist of traction magnets was a lot of fun for all. Mark Williams took the win his first of the season and eleventh of his career. Williams won 3 segments. Second spot was Brian Sponagle who won 2 segments. Spoons may very well have won the event except for a tough run on lane 4. 10 more pieces of track and he would have had that victory. Third went to Jim LeVan who won 2 segments on lanes 1 and 3. Fourth spot to Chris Brubaker who has some experience running these type of cars. Chris also won 2 segments. Rounding out the top 5 was promoter Randy Haydt who won on lanes 1 and 5 but had a tough time with the 2 and 6 cars.
