First Sportsman Win This Season for Sheldon Hiester

On Tuesday night November 26, 2013 at Randy’s Raceway it was the 4th race of the season for the Sportsman.  There were 14 drivers in the pits for the race due to a chance of in climate weather.  With the weather in mind Randy changed it from a double show to a single show so that if people didn’t come because of the weather they were not taken out of the points battle.  The second race will be added to the Tri-Oval one of the other times we are up there this season yet.  Now back to the race.  Taking his first win of the season was Sheldon Hiester.  The defending co-champion won 3 segments on the night in route to the win.  Second went to Mark Williams.  Mark won 3 segments on the night.  Third went to Shane Hiester.  Shane won 4 segments on the night.  Fourth went to Jim Levan.  Jim won 1 segment in a very strong run.  Rounding out the top 5 was Bryan Kisthart.  Bryan won 1 segment on the night.  The rset of the top 14 were as follows: 6-Mike Feltenberger (1 win), 7-Randy Haydt (1 win), 8-Corey Bailey, 9-Scottay Benday (Scott Bender), 10-Toby Reinhard, 11-Brian Sponagle, 12-Brian VanBuskirk, 13-Cory Reinhard, and 14-Tony Zappacosta.  The racing was really good and close all night.  The one race we had 2 fall offs early then ran the last 18 laps all green.  The points battle is starting to shape up into a close one it looks like among the top 3 drivers so it should be a good rest of the season.  Scott was given a new French name.  Randy didn’t obey the boundary rules again as he was put of his box each race.  Some of the regulars were missing due to the chance of bad weather, but who showed up had a good time.  Scott missed Jody because he had to do the 50/50 plus the book and computer at times throughout the night.  Next week Modifieds return to the 8 Lane with practice for NASCAR on the Road Coarse to follow.  Sorry for being short and late it was a busy short week.
