On Tuesday night February 24, 2015 it was Race #7 of the 2014-2015 Season at Randy’s Raceway for the Sportsman division.  Taking the win again was point leader Mark Williams.  Mark won 6 segments on the 8-Lane oval.  Second went to Shane Hiester.  Shane won 2 segments on the night.  Third went to Sheldon Hiester.  Sheldon won 3 segments on the night.  Fourth went to Jim Levan.  This was Jim’s best run of the season in Sportsman.  Rounding out the Top 5 was Bryan Kisthart.  Bryan won 1 segment on the night.  [Read more…]

Races # 3 & 4 of the PA TYCO Series were run on Sunday January 18, 2015 at Randy’s Raceway in Kutztown, PA. The 1st Race of the twin bill was held on the 6 Lane Tricky Tri-Oval at Randy’s Raceway. The weather wasn’t kind to us at all so we had a small field of only 10 drivers for the events. Taking the victory on the Tri-Oval was Sheldon Hiester, who won 4 races on the day. Second went to Shane Hiester who won 2 segments on the day and ran well in all 6 of his races. Third went to Scott Bender who turned in his best run of the 2014 – 2015 Series to this point, and Scott won 2 races as well on the day. Fourth went to Randy Haydt making his 1st start of the season in the PA TYCO Series. Randy won 1 race on the day. On Tuesday December 30, 2014 it was the Annual Holidays 200 sponsored by Scott Bender Racing Photos at Randy’s Raceway in Kutztown, PA.  There were 23 racers in attendance for the event.  Taking the win was Mark Williams.  Mark won all 8 segments en route to a perfect 200 lap total.  Second went to Shane Hiester.  Shane won 4 segments on the night in his Brian Hirthler 4* car.  Third went to Sheldon Hiester.  Sheldon won 2 segments on the night in the Jared Umbenhauer #5 car.  Fourth went to Mike Fitzgerald.  Mike won 3 segments on the night in his fast Billy Pauch car.  Rounding out the top 5 in fifth was Big T.  Big T won 3 segments on the night.  [Read more…]

Welcome back slot car enthusiasts.  On Tuesday night September 9, 2014 it was the opening night for the Sportsman Division at Randy’s Raceway in Kutztown, PA for the 2014-2015 Racing season.  There were 14 racers on hand for the opener 25 Laps on the 8-Lane Oval.  Taking the win on the night was Sheldon Hiester.  Sheldon won 7 segments on the night in pretty dominating fashion.  Second went to Shane Hiester.  Shane won 4 segments on the night losing by less then a lap to the winner.  Third went to defending Champion Mark Williams.  Mark didn’t win any all night, but was smooth as usual in a good start to defending his championship. On Wednesday night January 22, 2014 was the sixth Sportsman race of the season at Randy’s Raceway.  We did use the Wednesday night make-up date after a snow out which was implemented at the start of the new calendar year.  There were 10 racers on hand for the event.  Taking the win was Sheldon Hiester.  Sheldon won 4 segments on the night.  Second went to Mark Williams.  Mark won 4 segments on the night.  Third went to Shane Hiester.  Shane won 1 segment on the night.  Fourth went to Mike “Bear” Feltenberger.  Bear won 1 segment on the night.  [Read more…]

On Tuesday January 7, 2014 it was the first race of the new year at Randy’s Raceway in Kutztown, PA.  10 racers braved the frigid weather conditions outside, but the racing action inside was the complete opposite.  It was a double show for NASCAR on the tricky Tri-Oval.  Taking the win was the defending co-champion Sheldon Hiester.  Sheldon won 3 segments in route to his first triumph of the season.  Second went to current point leader Mark Williams.  Mark won 3 segments on the night.  Third went to Shane Hiester.  Shane won 3 segments on the night.  Fourth went to Bryan Kisthart.  Bryan didn’t win any the first race, but was in most of the segments.  Rounding out the top 5 was Billy Decker.  Billy won 1 segment on the night.  The rest of the top 10 were: 6-Bob Amore, 7-Randy Haydt, 8-Brian Vanbuskirk, 9-Brian Sponagle, and 10-Tony Zappacosta.  Sheldon beat Mark by 10 sections of track for the win, and Mark only was second by 9 pieces of track over Shane.  [Read more…]

On Tuesday night November 26, 2013 at Randy’s Raceway it was the 4th race of the season for the Sportsman.  There were 14 drivers in the pits for the race due to a chance of in climate weather.  With the weather in mind Randy changed it from a double show to a single show so that if people didn’t come because of the weather they were not taken out of the points battle.  The second race will be added to the Tri-Oval one of the other times we are up there this season yet.  Now back to the race.  Taking his first win of the season was Sheldon Hiester.  The defending co-champion won 3 segments on the night in route to the win.  Second went to Mark Williams.  Mark won 3 segments on the night.  Third went to Shane Hiester.  Shane won 4 segments on the night.  [Read more…]

Tuesday September 3, 2013 was the 2013-2014 season opener at Randy’s Raceway in Kutztown, PA.  There were 19 racers on hand for the Sportsman season opener.  Taking the win was defending co-champion Shane Hiester.  Shane won 4 segments on the night in his new Mike Lisowski Sportsman body.  Second went to Billy Decker.  Billy won 4 segments also on the night in his new Kevin Beach Jr. body.  Third went to Mike Fitzgerald.  Mike won 3 segments in his Corey Sechrist sail panel bodied car.  Fourth went to the 2012-2013 Sportsman Rookie of the Year Corey Bailey.  Corey won 1 segment on the night.  [Read more…]
