For the second week in a row a veteran campaigner won their career first feature at Randy’s Raceway in Kutztown PA. Following up on Toby Reinhard’s win last week in the mighty Modifieds Mike Fitzgerald took home the victory in the Sportsman show this week. Fitzy ran strong on all six lanes of the tri-oval scoring three segment wins and finishing on the lead lap every race. Season’s point winner Mark Williams was runnerup winning 4 segments. Third spot went to the veteran Jim Levan (2 seg wins) followed by Brian Sponagle (1 seg win) and Billy Decker. The Moscow PA driver won 1 segment on the night.
A good field of 12 racers was on hand. 2014-2015 Sportsman Rookie of the year wound up with another top ten finish- Dave Fitzgerald. Invader John Kosmoski was in the field driving his #45 car. Toby Reinhard was still smiling in the pits after his win last week. Sorry I missed it but was very glad to see Toby get his first career win, so same goes for Fitzy this week. I believe now Mike has won features at the big three area tracks now, Hiesters, Randy’s and Big T’s.
