Brett Gilmore came back strong this week to get back in the winners circle at Randy’s Raceway on the 8 lane. Gilmore drove the family owned #7 to the win taking 7 segments and only missing on lane 1. Mark Williams in another Kenny Gilmore prepped racer was second winner of 4 segments, one of which was a spirited tie with Billy Decker. Third spot went to Shane Hiester out of Shillington who won 2 segments on the hot lanes 3 and 4. Fourth was Shane’s brother Sheldon who had a lone segment win on lane 4. Rounding out the top 5 was Eric Beard who put on a great show and took wins on lanes 3 and 8. The rest of the top ten were, Billy Decker (1), Bill Brenner, Jim Levan, Bob Amore and Cory Reinhard.
MODIFIED MADNESS
Billy Decker once again had a real fast modified and the veteran was strong all night. He has become a top five regular this season and watch for him to be in victory lane soon. Larry Sanders was in the field once again and although had some mechanical issues started getting around the oval better as the night wore on. Nice to have Randy on the sidelines and without a controller in his hand. In a real surprise there were no line infractions. Seems to either have something to do with Haley’s comet or whenever Scott is not in the field. Fifteen racers on hand this week, next show is a double with Cup and Sprints on the eight lane.
