Haydt wins the battle while Williams wins the war !

Track Owner Randy Jay Haydt wins the final NASCAR feature race of 2020 on the 8 Lane Tomy Oval. Randy running a freshly minted Freddy Mac painted Richard Petty #43 streaked to 5 segment wins in dominating fashion to score the feature event win. Chris Brubaker ran 1 of the strongest races all year in a very close 2nd place run. Chris won 2 segments on the night and his Decker Fab chassis was flying all night. Completing the podium on Tuesday, Mark Williams who wrapped up his 2020 NASCAR Point Title with a solid run in the top 3. Mark won 4 segments on the night. Mark won 4 NASCAR features in 2020 on the way to the point championship. Randy Haydt won 1 feature on the way to 2nd in points. Finishing 4th on the night was Jim LeVan. Jim had 1 segment win. Jim claimed 3rd spot in the season long point battle while winning the Tough Tub Road Course Feature earlier in the season. Completing the Top 5 on the night was Tom Wenner who had 2 segment wins on the evening. Tom won the NASCAR Season Opening Feature Win. Tom wound up 4th in the season long point battle. Finishing 6th was Brian Sponagle, Brian spent the evening chasing Mr. Haydt and had some fierce battles on the track. Spoons finished in 5th in the season long point battle.

Drill Bits – 18 Racers in the pits tonight. We were again missing several regulars. Has anyone seen Gene Koose ?  I may file a missing person report this week. A Full NASCAR Season Recap Story will follow once the points are determined final. Super close night of racing on the 8 Lane. No easy segment racing at all, everyone is fast. Decker Fab continues to build fast Hot Rods, Chris B. showing it this week. The Management Team discussed the 20th Anniversary Season that is coming up and some special events that are planned for next season. Sad to see the final NASCAR race for 2020. Summer practice schedule is posted. 1 Sprint Car race remaining, 1 IROC night, 3 Modified Races left. Then the grand awards banquet. This week – Modified Racing on the 8 Lane Oval – The Bob Amore /Rob London Memorial Race is this Tuesday February 3, 2020. If you can make it, Please do. Bob and Rob’s family will be here.
