Tuesday Night at Randy’s Raceway were the openers for the Sportsman and IROC classes. In the Sportsman it was Sheldon Hiester taking the victory, winning 4 out of the 6 segments on his way to the victory. Second place went to Bob Amore, who won 5 segments on the night on his way to a strong second place finish. Third went to Shane Hiester, who won 1 segment on the night but was very strong and consistent in the rest of his segments throughout the night. Fourth went to Fred McCullough, who also won 1 segment on the evening. Rounding out the top 5 in fifth was Billy Decker, who didn’t win any segments on the night but had strong runs in all of his segments. the rest of the field went like this: 6- Jim Levan (3 Segment Wins), 7- Randy Haydt, 8- Scott Bender (1 Segment Win), 9- Mark Williams, 10-Brian Vanbuskirk, 11-Tony Zappacosta, 12- Adam Zappacosta, 13- Toby Reinhard, 14- Cory Reinhard. It was a good turn out for the sportsman class with some close racing in all the segments over the course of the night.
In the night capper for the IROC division which on this night were 4 Johnny Lightning T-Jets prepared by Randy Haydt, Shane Hiester was victorious on the night winning all 4 segments on the night. Second went to older brothe Sheldon who won 2 segments on the night. Third went to Randy Haydt, winning 1 segment. Fourth went to Scott Bender who won 1 segment on the night. Fifth went to Mark Williams who won 2 segments. the rest of the field went like this: 6- Jim Levan (1 Segment Win), 7- Bob Amore, 8- Fred McCullough (1 Segment Win), 9- Brian Vanbuskirk, 10- Toby Reinhard, 11- Cory Reinhard, 12- Billy Decker. We have to thank Randy for building 4 very even Johnny Lightning T-Jets with no racer getting lapped in a single segment. In each of the segments any of the 4 cars could have won the segment, because the racing was that close and the cars were that even. So now Randy can tell Scott he is good at something and have proof for once to actually back up his story LOL.
