Racing action returned to the Tri-Oval at Randy’s Raceway for the 1st time this season and Shane Hiester ended a long string of top 5 runs with his 1st Cup win. Shane scored 3 segment wins on lanes 1 – 3 on way to the checked flag. Only 1 lap behind Sheldon Hiester turned in his best Cup finish of the year with a 2nd place effort, winning 3 segments. Bob Amore also turned in his best run of the year coming home with a steady 3rd place finish. Only 7 pieces of track behind Fred McCullough made his 1st Cup start, winning 2 segments for a good 4th place finish. Jim Levan looking for his 3rd Cup win in a row, started of slow on the lower lanes but scored 3 segment wins on the outer lanes for a 5th place finish.

Sheldon Hiester Scores 1st Sprint Win
In the 15 lap closer, Sheldon Hiester finished off the sweep scoring 5 segment wins to claim his 1st Sprint car win of the year. Only 8 pieces of track behind Jim Levan ran his Orange # 1 to 4 segment wins on way to a runner up finish. It was only 27 pieces of track to Cup winner Shane Hiester as he scored 3 segment wins for a good 3rd place finish. Finishing of a good night Fred Mc Cullough scored 2 segments wins coming home 4th.Making his 1st start Mike Feltenberger was steaady coming home 5th.

Holiday Happening
Good to see new comers Kevin Sponagle and Mike Feltenberger making their 1st starts of the season. Randy Haydt turned in quite a night with 2 crash out’s and 2 segment wins for a nice 10th place finish in Cup action? Mark Williams did not run the beautiful Purple Cup body no reason was given. Good Sprint finish as the top 3 were on the same lap. Don’t forget about a month away the 40 lap Sprint car race, anybody interested in helping out with sponsoring this event any contributions are welcome see Mark, Monk, or Scott.
