Veteran Jim Levan used the opening night for this season to win his first career Modified Feature
at Randy’s Racway in Kutztown PA. Starter Kenny Gilmore dropped the first green at 7 pm sharp. For Levan who hails from Reading, it was a strong showing as his car was competative in every lane. Levan won 4 segments and out dueled 13 time winner from last season and the reining Modified champion Brett Gilmore. Gilmore also won 4 segments. Third spot went to the Summer series champ Shane Hiester, winner of 3 segments followed by Scott Bender in the M&M’s modified. Bender had a single segment win on lane 8. Mark Williams rounded out the top five in his familiar #7 and won 2 segments on the night. The remaining top 10 were, Sheldon Hiester, Billy Decker (4 seg.), Guy Intelisano, Bob Amore and Alex Amore.
