Doubleheader action was on tap at Randy’s Raceway with the Modifieds opening up the night going 15 laps on 6 lanes, a field of 17 racers signed in and Mark Williams turned in a sweep on way to the win. Eric Beard collected 4 segment wins with his strong running #55 for a season best 2nd place finish. Billy Decker broke out of a late season slump scoring 2 segment wins for a good 3rd place effort. Brian Kisthart used lead lap finishes on all 6 lanes to come home 4th. Jim Levan scored 2 segment wins for a 5th place finish.

Jim Levan Wins NASCAR Road Course Race
Cup racing made it’s 1st ever start on the Road Course at Randy’s Raceway, running 1 1/2 minute timed segments, 12 racers were in the field and Jim Levan rode off with a close win. It was Jim’s 2nd Cup win of the year. Only 16 pieces of track behind, steady Bryan Kisthart crossed the line 2nd. Only 22 pieces of track behind Brian Sponagle scored his best career finish with a 3rd place finish. Only 1 lap behind Mark Williams turned in a solid 4th place finish. Good to see former regular at Randy’s Raceway Sam Heller back in action and scoring a 5th place finish. Rounding out the Top 10 Toby Reinhard finish 6th, just 2 pieces of track behind Tony Zappacosta finished 7th, less than 1 lap behind Randy Stitzel turned his 1st road course laps into a 8th place finish, Cory Reinhard was 9th followed by Scott Bender 10th.
Road Course Round UP
Good to see Sam Heller and Bill Brenner back and we hope to see them again. Sam got a back up Billy Decker ride in Modifieds finishing 11th. Also new comer Chris Brubaker made his debut getting laps finishing 15th. Corey Reinhard had a good night with no fall offs in Modifieds finishing 12th, and a 9th place finish on the Road Course. Finally the word going around on the Internet all day Tuesday is Mark Williams was going to run that beautiful Purple Cup body on the Road Course was all false, he did have another excuse of why not, but i forgot ?. Next Week Cup season ends with Twin 15’s on the 8 lane.
