The 9 race Sportsmen season concluded Tuesday night at Randy’s Raceway on the Tri-Oval and Mark Williams capped off the season with his 3rd straight win and 5th of the season scoring 4 segment wins. Only 1 lap behind Sheldon Hiester scored 2 segment wins for a good 2nd place run. Only 3 pieces of track behind Mike Fitzgerald won 2 segments for an impressive 3rd place finish. Trailing Mike by only 5 pieces of track, Shane Hiester scored 3 segment wins for his 8th Top 5 finish of the year, and a 4th place finish. Bryan Kisthart over came a slow start on the inside lanes but came back to win his final 4 segments to close out the Top 5.

Good racing throughout the field as the Top5 were seperated by 2 laps. Toby Reinhard edged his son Cory by only 16 pieces of track for 10th. Good to see Donna Bryant back racing with us and feeling better. Mike Fitzgerald picked up a good 3rd place finish on the Tri-Oval. Boundary issues were not a problem last night ( finally ) but what will happen next year when the Tri – Oval is moved downstairs ? Next Week is the season closer for Modifieds on the 8 lane, do not forget Banquet money next week $7.00.
