Race 3 of the Berks / Lebanon Modified Series was run on Saturday at Randy’s Raceway Kutztown, PA on the 8 lane fast track. Before a sellout crowd and a Series record 22 racers jamming the pit area the Small Block Modifieds rolled out 1st and Randy Haydt running that new Chucky body scored 2 segment wins on way to a convincing win. It was his 2nd Small Block win of the year. Randy’s win was only 24 pieces of track ahead of Mark Williams who started off strong winning 5 segments on lanes 1-5, collected his best Small Block run of the year finishing 2nd. Woodland winner Sam Heller scored 2 segment wins to hold on to a close 3rd place finish.

Only 9 pieces of track behind, Jim LeVan was strong on the outside lanes scoring 4 segment wins to finish 4th. Just 1 piece of track behind Tim “Little T” Bowers scored 3 segment wins, it was his 2nd straight 5th place finish.

RANDY HAYDT SCORES 1ST BIG BLOCK WIN
The Big Block main had a slight delay getting the green as storms were in the area causing a few power outages and flickering lights but once it got started Randy Haydt capped off the “SWEEP” this time running the Skoal Bandit #33 to 5 segment wins to claim his 1st Big Block win of the year. Jim LeVan scored 5 segment wins, it was his 3rd straight 2nd place finish. Toby Reinhard scored his best Big Block finish scoring 3 segment wins to finish 3rd. Tim “Little T “Bowers scored 4 segment wins crossing the line 4th. Mark Williams finished off a good day scoring 2 segment wins to finish 5th.

Big Block acing for the lead turn two action
Good having Dave Koehler back with us and feeling better. Tom Wenner making his 1st Series start getting a 14th in the Big Block. Bill Rowley had 2 nice Top 10’s with a 9th in Small Blocks an 8th in the Big Blocks and his 1st segment win. Ed Kenderdine had a 10th in the Small Block main, and his 1st segment win. Randy’s win in the Big Blocks makes it 3 different winners in 3 races.
BERKS / LEBANON SERIES final race Saturday April 8 at “Little T’s Speedway Myerstown, PA.
