Nostalgia & Wing Notes: A very nostalgic night of racing. Nostalgia Coupe Dirt Modifieds returned to the fast Randy’s Raceway Tri-Oval. This is class is turning into 1 of the popular body styles in HO Racing at the area tracks. The night cap featured the fast 410 Sprint Cars on the Tri-Oval, Randy shared this it has been many years since 410’s were run on this track. Last being when the track was located upstairs in the apartment area. 10 racers in the house, A great head count this year. The group decided to once again race 4 lanes – 2-3-4-5 on the Tri-Oval. 1 of the themes this season has been the incredibly tight racing action. The sprint car feature came down to the last lap of the race for the feature event win. 2nd/3rd place finished with a tie. 4th place was only 10 track sections back. 5th place 12 behind. The entire top 5 finishers were all on the lead lap of the race. Special Thanks to our buddy Fred McCullough for making these very cool Coupe bodies. Fred’s bodies dominated the field. Nice to see good guy Toby Reinhard get 2 podium finishes on the night.
