Modified racing capped off the season Tuesday night at Randy’s Raceway on the 8 lane fast track and Scott Bender ended a long Modified winless streak scoring the win. Scott scored 4 segment wins, to become the 5th different winner in the Modified class. Bryan Kisthardt was strong again winning 5 segments, finishing off a very good Modified season with a 2nd place run. Modified Point Champ Mark Williams also scored 5 segment wins to finish off the season with a 3rd place finish. Randy Haydt scored 4 segment wins and had a pretty calm 4th place run. John Kosmoski ended the season strong with a very consistent 5th place finish, his 2nd Top 5 of the season.

Modified race drew 20 racers. Thanks to Bob Amore for sponsoring the night. Jim LeVan brought out a sharp looking Coupe body it lasted only 6 lanes until a front stretch crash with Mark Williams broke it in 3 pieces ! Both drivers were checked out it the infield care center and released. Good run by Tom Wenner who finished 7th, and Ed Kenderdine 10th. Dont forget the Awards Banquet next week April 11, 2017. Then April 18, 2017 will be the Rules Meeting, everyone is welcome and that will close out the season. The summer practice is out and posted on the Randy’s Raceway site.
