Shane Hiester Wins Fourth Modified Main

Veteran Shane Hiester squeaked out a victory by the slimmest of margins after winning all six lanes on the tricky Tri-Oval.  With the win Shane is now just 1 behind his brother Sheldon.  Mark Williams running the Gilmore #7 finished second just missing a perfect by 1 piece of track.  Scott Bender won on lane 3 taking Williams out of victory lane and leaving him still looking for that 1st Modified win.  Third spot went to Sheldon Hiester who also won 5 segments.  Scott Bender wound up 4th in a strong showing with 1 segment win.  Rounding out the top 5 was Bob Amore winner of 3 segments and finding a groove now that he is back racing regularly.

NEWWORTHY
Bob Amore has made a purchase of the former Bob Zelano track and will be relocating it soon.  Randy Haydt who won the Sportsman race last week was back on the computer this week.  Newcomers Donna and Lesya improved as the night went on.  Toby Reinhard had a tough night, as did Eric Beard.  They both fought ill handling cars all night.  Mike Feltenberger had host duties and was a no show.   Brian Sponagle ran his sharp Jim Keppley #59.  I remember watching that car at the Fairgrounds and Penn National many years.
