Mark Williams won his second Modified feature in a row at Randy’s Raceway. But not before a great duel with up and coming Cory Reinhard in a classic lane 1 lane 8 battle. Williams won all 8 segments on the evening and Reinhard won 5. This was Cory’s best ever finish at the Berks Oval a strong follow up to his runner-up in the first Berks Lebanon Series last week. Third spot
went to Brian Sponagle who was celebrating a birthday, Spoons waited until lane 8 to grab his lone segment win but consistent finishing propelled him to the third spot. Fourth was Jim LeVan who was fast in all lanes but had a tough lane one. He opened the night with a segment win on the smooth lane 8. Rounding out the top five was last weeks Sprint winner Scott Bender. Sixth through tenth went like this. Bryan Kisthart, Toby Reinhard, Bill Brenner, Bill Decker and Mike Fitzgerald.
Notes around the Pits.
Only had to call for security a few times. Not to many bad wrecks.
I saw the track photographer working again this week check out the website for all the action. We had a good field of 16 drivers with Nick Wummer back for the holiday break.
What can we say about Cory Reinhard other than his car is too fast Dad. Cory is now competing for feature wins now so watch out guys.
