Williams, Sponagle 1-2 in Modified Feature on Tri-Oval

Current Point Leader Mark Williams won his 5th feature of the season on the tough Tri-Oval Tuesday night at Randy’s Raceway.  Brian Sponagle wheeled his Umbanhauer #5 to a strong second place run.  Williams won 5 segments just missing on lane six to Randy Haydt while Spoons won lanes one through three. Third spot went to Scott Bender with consistent runs on all six lanes and despite a broken numb.  Forth spot went to veteran Bill Decker in his #97 with a lone win on lane 3.  Rounding out the top five with one segment win was our Promoter Randy Haydt.

Modified Mussings

Brian Vanbuskirk had a solid finish and was close to winning a segment on lane two.  He wound up seventh at the checkered.  Five drivers had segment wins.  Who knew in lane 4 you can get a falloff without coming off.  Watch out for that pothole in the dogleg.  There were only 8 calls for security to the pits.  Thanks go out to the flaggers, Adam, Billy, Spoons and Mark as well as chief turn Marshall Gary Z.  Also a big thank you to Bob Zelano Appliance Repair and Gary Z for sponsoring the nights activities.
