Mark Williams waited until the last race to take the point lead and won his second straight Cup championship
, just nosing out Billy Decker and Randy Haydt. The race was run with IROC style cars prepared by Kenny Gilmore. Williams won 4 segments on his way to the win. Second spot went to Bob Amore who was only 1 piece of track behind at the finish. Third on the evening was Readings Scott Bender followed by Randy Haydt and Billy Decker. Sixth was Jim Levan and Dennis Kerchner was seventh. Eight spot went to Bruce Heller followed by Dale S and Cindy C.
HAYDT TAKES IROC WIN AND LOCKS DOWN HIS FIRST IROC CHAMPIONSHIP
The racing Promoter Randy Haydt schooled all runners this year in the IROC program and won for the 5th time and scored the championship as well in a great night. Actually Jim Levan tied for the race win but Haydt got credited with the victory after the first tie breaker. Third spot went to Mark Williams followed by Bob Amore and Bruce Heller.
