Williams Wins Mod Main

Mark Williams won his fourth Modified Feature of the season at Randy’s Raceway taking all six races on the Tri-Oval in a clean sweep.  With the win he increased his point lead with just a handful of races left in the season.  Jim Levan finished second winning on 4 lanes and looking real strong in his white bodied modified.  Third spot went to Shane Hiester who maintains second in the season standings.  The youngest Hiester brother won his first 4 lanes.  Fourth spot was Sheldon Hiester who had a single segment win in his new mount.  Rounding out the top 5 was Bob Amore who had 1 win and his usual strong showing on the tight bull ring.

News Around the Pits

Randy has seemed to set all his upstairs clocks just like the downstairs clocks.  Bill Decker had a great run on the Tri-val and he has always said how much he loves that track.  Decker has also proved his car builder status this season fielding a very competitive team car that Tony Z is capably driving.  Tony wound up 12 this week and had some good runs on lanes 3 and 6.  We had 16 racers on hand including first timer Brian K and Mike Feltenberger in his replica Gerry Chamberlin #76.  Bill Brenner had a tenth place run in his 55 wrenched by Eric Beard.  Rumor has Brenner jumping into the very fast #18 modified as soon as we get back to the 8 lane.  That should be a fast combination and one to keep an eye on.  Scott Bender seemed to be confused because their is no duct tape on the floor in the dining room.  Congrads to Jim Levan on finally winning the 50/50, he also celebrated a birthday last week.  Thanks to Monk for flagging and Jody for keeping score and while I am at it even Randy for hosting and putting up with Scott.
