Mark Williams scored the win in the Modified feature on the 8 lane at Randy’s Raceway in Kutztown PA. Williams won 7 segments and runner up Shane Hiester kept him from a perfect run beating the #7 on lane 1 at the line. Hiester wound up second on the night for the 3rd time this season winning 3 segments. Third spot went to Sheldon Hiester winner of 2 segments. In his best run of the season Mike Fitzgerald was 4th. Fitzy won 2 segments and gave eventual winner Williams a run for his money in a lane 1 and 8 dual. Fifth spot was veteran racer Bryan Kisthart.

No boundary issues this week but we still have one guy who insists on running green tires. Also the rumor of Scott bringing out the 66’s surfaced again this week. We had a good field of 17 racers. Con-grads go out to Chris Brubaker who won his first segment ever on lane three. Chris finished a remarkable 7th on the night which was his best career finish. Look for more good things out of the Lancaster County racer in the Eric Beard stable of cars. I heard that this could be the last season for Big T’s Speedway in Exeter. If that’s true let’s all try and get out at least once to show our support. Big T has been racing and holding races at his house since at least the early 70’s. I have high regard as all HO Racers should have for both the Bowers and Hiester families for all they have done for slotcar racing in our area.
