Mark Williams became the first repeat winner this season in the Modified ranks at Randy’s Raceway. A nice field of 18 drivers signed in for the event on the Tricky Tri-Oval. Let’s call it the backward dogleg and see who lands in section 17. Williams won 4 segments including lane one to gain the victory and a slim 3 point lead early this season. Brothers Shane and Sheldon Hiester wound up in a tie for second. Shane won 4 segments and Sheldon won 3. Fourth spot was Jim Levan who was ready to race this night and won 3 segments also including a tough lane one win. Rounding out the top five in a very consistent run was Scott Bender. Only 3 laps separated the top 5 cars at the checkered.
Big T was once again in the field and had a good run coming home 7th. Tony Z made the show and wound up 13th with good runs on lanes 4 and 6. Randy is looking into the issues we had with lane three.
