Mark Williams won the NASCAR Cup feature on the Tri-Oval for his second win in a row at Randy’s Raceway in this division.  Williams drove his Orange car to 5 segment wins and narrowly missed winning on lane 1.  Veteran racer out of Reading Jim LeVan was a strong second winning 3 segments on lanes 2-4.  Third spot went to Randy Haydt who won 4 segments and continues his strong season in the Sprint Cup class.  Fourth was Brian Sponagle who had 1 segment win in his Penn State racer. Modified racing returned to the action packed Tri-Oval for the1st time this year at Randy’s Raceway and Mark Williams raced off to his 3rd straight Modified checkered flag. Mark scored 5 segment wins on way to the win, with only 1 fall off. Turning in his 2nd straight Runner up finish Randy Haydt scored 4 segment wins to finish 2nd. Only 6 pieces of track behind, Billy Decker collected his 1st Top 5 modified finish, with a steady 3rd place run. [Read more…]

Mark Williams won his first Cup race of the season at Randy’s Raceway.  For Williams it was his 25^th career Cup win tying him with Randy Haydt for second place on the win list for Cup.  Williams won 5 segments of the 12 lap variety due to the double show with IROC.  Second spot Went to Randy Haydt who won 3 segments and had another strong run in the Cup division this season.  Third spot was opening night winner veteran Billy Decker who won a single segment on lane 8.  Fourth was young gun Cory Reinhard, the  Boyertown HS Junior had 2 segment wins and very consistant runs on all lanes.  [Read more…]

Modified racing was back on the 8 lane fast track and Modified Champion Mark Williams scored his 2nd straight modified win. Mark scored 4 segment wins on lanes 2, 4, 6, and 8 to claim the win. Randy Haydt ran his “CHUCKY” machine to a strong 2nd place finish, winning 1 segment. “CHUCKY” had a much better set up in his car this week. Cory Reinhard turned in a career best finish with a very good 3rd place run, scoring 2 segment wins. [Read more…]
