strikes first on the Tri-Oval
It
was the
1st Berks County Tri-Track Mini Series held at Randy’s Raceway.
Action started
on the Tri-Oval and Bob Amore scored 4 segment wins on way to the opening race
win. Troy Bowers turned in a solid run scoring 2 segment wins, finishing 2nd.
Jim Levan had a tough run on lanes 1-3, then scored 3 segment wins on the outer
lanes finished 3rd. Scott Bender was steady collecting a 4th place finish.
Making his 1st start on the tri-oval new comer Scott Lee turned in a 5th place
finish.

Win on the Short Track
Race 2
moved to "Monks" short track and Troy Bowers scored 5 segment wins on
way to the win. Less than 1 lap behind Jim Levan scored 3 segment wins to
finish 2nd. Bob Amore (Mr. Short Track) scored 3 segment wins to come home 3rd.
Billy Decker ran steady 19,s all day netting a 4th place finish. Scott Bender
also turned in a steady effort scoring a 5th place finish.
Levan Wins
the 8-Lane
Race 3 was
on the fast 8-lane, it included plenty of wrecks but when the checkered fell
Jim Levan claimed the win scoring 6 segment wins. Billy Decker scored 1 segment
win turning in a solid runner up finish. Only 14 pieces of track behind Troy Bowers
scored 2 segment wins capping off a good day finishing 3rd. Scott Bender ran
steady crossing the line 4th. Steven Kersher continues to get better scored a
nice 5th place finish.
LEVAN WINS OVERALL TITLE
Jim
Levan edged Troy Bowers for the overall title because of more race wins 12 to
9. 3rd Bob Amore / 4th Billy Decker / 5th Scott Bender. Good to see our newest
racer Scott Lee in the field getting laps on all 3 tracks and scoring a 5th
place finish on the Tri-Oval. Thanks to Randy and Monk for the prize fund and
the food that was provided.
