Brett Gilmore Scores Cup Win

Cup action returned to Monks short track with a different style of racing


running Twin 10 lap events, with you keeping your best score for your finish. Brett Gilmore turned in sweeps in both races becoming the 1st two time winner this year in Cup action. Bob Amore continued his strong runs on the "Racerink" posting a strong 2nd place finish winning 9 segments. Also turning in 2nd place finishes were Sheldon Hiester ( 3 wins ), and Randy Haydt ( 2wins ). Mark Williams best finish was a 3rd, scoring 3 segment wins. Shane Hiester collected a 4th place finish winning 4 segments. Scott Bender notched two 5th place finishes, winning 3 segments.
 
Kenny Gilmore Claims 4th Sprint Win

Kenny Gilmore scored his 3rd straight sprint car win of the year missing a sweep by only 1 piece of track, it was a narrow 6 piece of track win over early season winner Shane Hiester who turned in a great run on way to a 2nd place finish, winning 4 segments. Trailing Shane by only 18 pieces of track was Brett Gilmore who scored 5 segment wins finishing 3rd. Only 11 pieces of track behind, Mark Williams registered a 4th place finish including 5 segment wins. Alex Amore ran real strong winning 1 segment turning in a career best 5th place finish.

STOCKING STUFFERS

With only 4 Cup races left point battle continues to tighten up. Bob Amore continues to run good on the Racerink as he scored another top 5 to stay in contention for the title. Thanks to Monk for paying everybody’s entry fee for the sprint car race. Next Sprint car race is the 40 lapper January 19th if anybody is interested in helping out with sponsoring race see Monk, Mark or Scott.
